Ferno Combi Head Immobiliser (CHI)

Overview

The Combi Head Immobiliser initially designed for use with Scoop Stretchers with its curve bases has now succeeded the Universal Head immobiliser as the Head Immobiliser for all requirements. The UHI Head Immobiliser was discontinued shortly after the Combi Head Immobiliser was introduced  It will fit virtually any spine board including the 20 inch sports board, as well as fitting the range of Scoop Stretchers. This means that the emergency services as well as hospitals no longer require a different head immobiliser for the spine board and another for the scoop stretcher

  • Base-pad and strapping system provide optimum fitting on all backboards and Scoop stretchers
  • Fully infection control compliant, using antimicrobial VELCRO® Brand fasteners and PU molded head blocks that contain antibacterial additives throughout
  • Accidental surface damage to head blocks does not affect integrity of product; can still be reused, unlike dipped or disposable head blocks
  • Compact in design and can be stored while on a backboard or separately in a cabinet
  • Radiolucent and MRI compatible
